Chapter 69 The Grand Dilemma is my last chapter.
If you have read this far and have any comments, they are welcome. I've thought of publishing this as an ebook. Your opinion on that would be especially welcome.

Riveting - yes, this is what a lot of us are looking for, I would say. We live in such a changing world - if we want to connect our children to Jesus in any honest way that will survive the things they will be living through - we need to be considering all of these things you have addressed. In my mind, the changing times makes it imperative for another 1844 soul searching revival experience. - One where seekers are praying and seeking for theology that covers the current WORLD situations.
ReplyDeleteI have just returned to this blog after being away for awhile. Last chapter I read was 55. Looking forward to catching up with the more recent entries.
ReplyDeleteA Book would be good. It's fascinating to see how a precocious smart young boy from a perfectly good SDA home with a perfectly standard SDA education somehow turned into John McLarty. The journey is inspiring. All those times when life turns out different from the expected script.
Quite a trip you've taken, John. May I be so bold as to one day put finger to keyboard and do as you have done, John. Thanks for the insights!
ReplyDeleteJohn,I have read your entire story over the past few months. I have appreciated you candor. It's been an inspiration to me. When I was in Seminary and we did the personality profile stuff at the beginning of our time there, I was told I didn't match the typical profile of most Adventist Pastors. I've often felt like a square peg in a round hole. But I've found my niche now as a chaplain at Washington Adventist Hospital. As I've read your story I've found many points I resonated with. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAnd, Yes, I'd love to see this in e-book form!
